WAC Volleyball Tournament
|
Get ready to cheer on your regular season champions in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) volleyball tournament. The Mavericks will begin competing in the WAC Tournament hosted at College Park Center at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21. A victory on Thursday would earn the team the chance to compete again at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22. If the Mavericks remain undefeated on Friday night, they will play again at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23. MyUTA is hosted at my.uta.edu, which is the new way to find MyMav. There are no changes to the MyMav login process.

| International Education Week
|
International Education Week kicks off today, Monday, Nov. 18, with the opening of the See the Unseen Photo Gallery. The Department of Global Engagement and the Office of International Education are honoring international education throughout the week by hosting a variety of events on campus.

The Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Arlington Today, recently announced this year’s list of 40 inspiring young leaders making a difference in the Arlington community. Amanda Perez, director of Fraternity and Sorority Life, Shaunda Musick, central development coordinator, and several UTA alumni were recognized as part of the 40 Under 40 class of 2024.

| Professor honored for work on regional science fair
|
In recognition of his dedication to the Fort Worth Regional Science and Engineering Fair, psychology Professor Yuan Bo Peng received the 2024 Individual Outstanding Community Service Award from the Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of the Chinese Institute of Engineers. Dr. Peng has served as director of the fair since 2012, and participation has increased significantly under his leadership.
