Welcome to the first edition of The Cookie Press for Communities and Areas! Each week, we are here to pass along program updates and give you those “just in time” reminders to keep you on track. In next week's edition of The Cookie Press we'll include a section for Troop Leaders and Troop Cookie Managers, filled with information for troops. Cookie Central will once again be your one-stop hub for all things cookies. We continue to update Cookie Central as we get closer and closer to Cookie Go Day. Thank you for sharing your time and talent to help equip troops with the guidance they need to be prepared for the upcoming season.

Community-Area Product Leader Virtual Cookie Training |
We kick off our virtual Community-Area Cookie Training sessions via Zoom on Thursday, December 5. We are excited to review the highlights of the season along with the important details on your duties as a Community-Area cookie volunteer. You may register anytime, up to the start of the event.

|
If you are not able to attend one of these sessions, we’ve got you covered! Our online Community-Area Cookie Manager training will be available on gsLearn the week of December 16. Remember you must have attended a virtual training session or complete the online training as a part of your Community-Area level role. Plus, one of the requirements to earn Community cookie proceeds is to have at least one Community volunteer complete cookie training by February 1.
If you are a new Community cookie volunteer, we highly encourage you to view the 477 Community and Area Product Leader Foundations - Cookie Program course in gsLearn prior to attending the virtual training session. This quick training video will give you added insight into your role and responsibilities as a Community level cookie volunteer.

Cookie Rally Orders Due by December 22
|
If your Community is planning a Cookie Rally, it’s time to order cookies. Each package of cookies is $2.50 and will be ACH’d on January 10 from your Community bank account, or troop account if that is preferred. You may also request a sample reward kit, available while supplies last. All orders are due by December 22—no late orders will be accepted. Sample rewards kits will need to be returned to a GSRV service center no later than March 1. You can order your Cookie Rally supplies on our Cookie Rally Order Form. Cookie orders will ship the week of January 20.
Check out our Cookie Rally Guide for inspiration on how to host your rally and make it an awesome event for the girls and troops in your Community!

If you did not receive a notebook and gift set, you can submit a request for the items by email at girlscouts@girlscoutsrv.org. The Community-Area Cookie Notebook will also be posted on Cookie Central.

Community-Area Cookie Cupboard/Delivery Handout |
|
|
As the Community-Area Product Leader, you’ll share with your troops the Community’s assignment for type of cupboard and delivery they will take part in for the season. Refer to the 2025 Community-Area Cupboard-Delivery Handout to view the assignment and share this information with your troops either now or at your troop training.
