University of Illinois College of Medicine Celebrates 2025 White Coat Ceremonies

The University of Illinois College of Medicine held its 31st annual White Coat Ceremony on each of its campuses on Friday, August 15, 2025. Over 300 incoming M1s were celebrated by their friends, families, and communities as they received their white doctor’s coats, symbolizing their pledge to the embodiment of humanism in medicine from the beginning of their medical education.

BioDigital Approved as New Tool Supporting Anatomy Curricula

  • BioDigital is an online 3D anatomy platform that allows students and faculty to explore the human body in interactive detail—from individual organs to full body systems.
  • Faculty can customize these models, making them part of lectures, case discussions, quizzes, and self-study materials.
  • Implementation of this software was the first full project approved through the College of Medicine's new IT Governance framework.
 

ADA Title II Accessibility Resources

UI COM must ensure compliance with Title II of the ADA by 2026. This includes making all web content — including PDFs, Word documents, and other digital materials, as well as those in Box — fully accessible. See our Accessibility page for resources on creating compliant content.
