| This is one of my favorite times of the year. In Arizona, the light softens, the air cools, and the trails along the Catalinas call to anyone with a hint of curiosity about the natural world. I call myself a biophiliac — someone drawn to nature and the awe it inspires. Most weekends, you’ll find me on a trail somewhere, rediscovering that sense of wonder.

When I can’t make it to the mountains, I start my mornings with a walk through the wash behind my home, an audiobook in my ears. Lately, I’ve been listening to Awe: The New Science of Everyday Wonder and How It Can Transform Your Life by Dacher Keltner. It’s a beautiful reminder that awe isn’t reserved for the grand or the rare; it’s what connects us to our shared humanity.
If you pick it up, let me know what you think.
