Workday Learning Launches Oct. 19 |
Beginning October 19, Workday Learning will become your new hub for professional development and university training.
Workday Learning will replace training registration in myOleMiss and employee-targeted training currently housed in Blackboard, including courses such as Contracts Management, Accessibility, and Inclusive and Equitable Hiring Practices.
And there’s plenty to explore: Workday Learning will also give faculty and staff access to thousands of LinkedIn Learning courses covering everything from leadership and communication to technology, project management, creative skills, and more.
Here's what you need to know:
One Place for Employee Learning |
You’ll be able to find university-created training, required courses, and optional professional development opportunities all within Workday.
When you sign up for scheduled training, you’ll also automatically receive a calendar invitation, making it easier to reserve the time on your calendar.
If you currently facilitate employee training on a different platform, we encourage you to transition your courses to Workday Learning. Contact Jessica Misso for assistance.
Your Learning History, All Together |
The My Transcript feature will give you a centralized view of your learning activity in Workday. You can see courses you’re enrolled in, check whether training is Not Started, In Progress, or Completed, and track your professional development over time.
Workday Learning also introduces new tools to help you support your team’s development.
Managers will be able to browse available learning, enroll individual employees or groups of direct reports in training, establish due dates, and designate training as required when appropriate.
Dashboards and reports will also provide greater visibility into your team’s training activity and completion status.
| Get Excited for LinkedIn Learning Access |
Looking to build a new skill or explore a topic that interests you? Through Workday Learning, faculty and staff will have access to LinkedIn Learning’s extensive library of professional development courses.
You’ll also be able to personalize your learning experience by selecting topics that interest you and saving courses you may want to take later.
Required IT Security Training |
One of the first required trainings you may see in Workday Learning is the university’s Annual IT Security Training.
Beginning this year, Annual IT Security Training will be completed through Workday Learning. Employees required to complete the training will have 45 days to do so.
If the training is assigned to you, you’ll be able to find it alongside your other learning directly in Workday.
Whether you’re completing required training, building skills for your current role, or exploring something new, Workday Learning will give you one place to continue learning and growing at Ole Miss.
