Giant Ornament

Check out this a giant 11.5 foot tall ornament dazzled in twinkling white LED lights. Made possible by Pima County, this walk-through ornament will is displayed in Jácome Plaza (101 N Stone Ave) until mid-January. This photo was taken by Tucsonan, Tony Aragon and was the 1st place winner in last year's photo contest.

Community Tree

Take in the mesmerizing beauty of the giant community tree, also located in Jácome Plaza. This 25 footer stands in the center of the park and is decked out with thousands of white LED lights. Installed by our Downtown Tucson Partnership Ambassadors, including a custom tree topper by Ambassador Tom, the tree will be displayed until mid-January.

Street Illumination

The street trees downtown are adorned with warm white LED lights, thanks to Pima County. This free display can be enjoyed each night anywhere along Congress St, Broadway Blvd., Stone Ave., Pennington St. and 6th Ave. Strolling among the downtown lights is the perfect way to enjoy a brisk desert night.

Building Illumination

The Building Illumination Program is a unified initiative to illuminate Downtown Tucson's skyline for the holidays and attract people from all over the region to dine, shop, play and stay in downtown. A striking silhouette of Tucson's skyline is visible from Interstate 10, the Catalina Foothills and beyond.

Healthy Holidays Recommendations
from Pima County
The 2020 holiday season will look different than usual. There will be new stresses mixed with the usual ones. Traditions and traveling may be altered.
Please keep in mind, a large driver of current COVID-19 transmission is small household gatherings with family and friends. People might feel safe around people they trust and remove their mask or do not distance, but contract COVID-19 or spread the virus to their loved ones.
