Dear friends, colleagues, and partners,
Welcome to the third year of the Midwest D-CFAR! We hope your summer is going well and giving you some time to recharge.
A new year is a natural time to reflect on how far we've come. Over the past two years, the Midwest D-CFAR has grown into a vibrant community built on collaboration across disciplines, institutions, and the communities we serve. That momentum is what makes us so optimistic about the year ahead: new investigators, new pilot funding, growing collaborations with partner CFARs, and continued engagement with our community partners. One highlight in this issue is our newly redesigned website, designed to make our resources, opportunities, and research easier to find.
Thank you for being part of this community. We can't wait to see what we accomplish together this year.

Sebla Kutluay, PhD, has joined as Co-Director of the Advanced Technology Core (ATC), working alongside Director George Kyei, MD, MPhil, PhD, to advance technologies that improve the health of people living with HIV.

Drs. Elvin Geng, George Kyei, Rachel Presti, and Emmanuel Tetteh were awarded an NIH R01 for the REALISE study on the end-user acceptability and long-term impacts of HIV cure strategies.
