Pint Of McGuinness: iHeartMedia EVP/Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Head of Investor Relations Mike McGuinness has been promoted to CFO. The news was revealed this morning (12/1) in an SEC flling. McGuinness has been with the company since 2019 following prior financial roles with The Hain Celestial Group and Monster Worldwide. His employment agreement with iHeart has been extended through June 30, 2030 and his annual salary increased to $1.2 million.

Viva Las Vegas: After a three-year run in Frisco, TX, the Academy of Country Music Awards will return to its longtime former home in Las Vegas in 2026, as reported this morning (12/1) via Breaking News. The 61st annual show will take place on Sunday, May 17 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, and stream live on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch. ACM CEO Damon Whiteside notes that the venue "holds a lot of history and special memories for the Academy. It truly feels like a homecoming for us." Awards weekend activities kick off on Friday, May 15; tickets go on sale early next year.

Kiwi Quarter Hours: Nielsen subsidiary GfK, which issues three diary-based surveys per year in New Zealand, has released its first since the launch of NZME's iHeartCountry New Zealand (CAT 5/2), covering the period from May 11 to November 1. In Auckland, the country's largest market, the station debuted with a 1.1 share among Persons 10+, ranking it 20th. The station's best demographic was Persons 18-39, in which it ranked 16th with a 1.8 share. In market No. 2, Christchurch, iHeartCountry ranked 13th, debuting with a 1.3 share among Persons 10+. Persons 18-39 was also the best demo there, with a 12th place rank and 2.3 share. |
