UTA has once again earned the prestigious R1 designation from the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education, signifying the highest level of research activity. UTA is among just 187 institutions—4.7% nationwide—earning the R1 designation in 2025.

Healthy aging study begins
|
UTA researchers have launched the Arlington Study of Healthy Aging, which will use advanced imaging, genetics, exercise science, neuroscience, and remote monitoring to investigate age-related health decline. The goal is to help individuals and health care practitioners better prevent the impact of disease on older adults. Learn more.

UTA staff are invited to celebrate the 18th Annual Spirit Day with the Staff Advisory Council Wednesday, March 12, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Bluebonnet Ballroom of the University Center. Free lunch from McAlisterʼs Deli will be provided while supplies last. The first 300 attendees will receive a prize at the front door.

Enhanced MavPlanner, MavScheduler, and MavInspire
|
This spring, enhanced versions of MavPlanner, MavScheduler, and MavInspire will be available at UTA. The enhanced systems will see updated user interfaces and functionality. Leveraging improved technology will put actionable data for engagement and early alerts in the hands of faculty and staff. The tools will also allow staff to effectively assist students with planning a clear path to graduation.
