At the recently held 2025 WashU Joint Master’s Programs Commencement and Recognition Ceremony, Master of Science in Clinical Investigation (MSCI) awards were presented to these individuals who stood out for their exceptional commitment to clinical investigation, whether in mentoring, teaching, or scholarship.

ICTS JIT Core Spotlight - Gynecologic Oncology Tissue Bank (GOTB) |

The GOTB supports clinical and translational research focused on gynecologic malignancies through collecting, storing, and releasing biospecimens by way of evidence-based protocols. To date, the GOTB has accumulated specimens from over 3,000 endometrial cancer and 1,500 ovarian cancer patients in efforts to aid the discovery and translation of novel basic science findings and foster collaboration.

Call for Abstracts for Barnes-Jewish Hospital 18th Annual Multidisciplinary Research Conference |

The conference, titled “Transforming Healthcare: From Insights to Impacts”, will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from 7:30am-4:00pm. Abstracts are sought from novice-to-expert clinicians and researchers that highlight research, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement/process improvement projects aimed at impacting positive changes in health care. Abstract preparation assistance is available. The deadline to submit an abstract is Friday, August 1, 2025.

Clinical Research Training Center (CRTC) Accepting Applications for TL1 Translational Sciences Postdoctoral Program
The scope of the TL1 program is translational science from bench-to-bedside and bedside-to-bench research, with the broad ability to include research projects in late-stage preclinical, first-in-human, clinical, translational, patient-oriented research, population health and community engagement, and biomedical informatics. There is a new focus area this year for MD or MD/PhD Clinical Fellows in the research portion of their fellowship, with an interest in translational and precision health research. Apply for the program by September 1, 2025.

Clinical Research Training Center (CRTC) Seeks Applications for KL2 Career Development Awards Program
The KL2 Career Development Awards Program provides high-quality, multidisciplinary training in clinical and translational research to promote the career development of future clinical investigators. This program also provides financial support and benefits that allow scholars to focus on mentored, multidisciplinary research, supplemented by applicable coursework. Beginning this year, the CRTC is excited to offer a dedicated slot for a junior faculty member conducting Public Health Research! Apply for the program by September 1, 2025.
