spring. This beloved season, as I get older, the more and more I do not like winter. Spring is marked by blooming flowers, warmer temperatures and the return of vibrant colors, brings with it a sense of renewal and joy.
Spring is synonymous with the concept of renewal, extending beyond nature to our homes and lives. The tradition of spring cleaning involves deep-cleaning living spaces, decluttering, and organizing.
As we prepare for Summer Camp 2025, we will be doing some spring cleaning around Hanging Rock. We would love for you and your church to join us in this effort of getting the facilities and grounds ready to welcome campers.
Below, you will find ways that you can be involved here in this ministry.
Spring is coming, let's enjoy it.

Summer Camp Registration is here!! Registration opens up on March 1st at midnight. We are 3 months away from our first camp session! As a reminder for our specialty camps those typically fill up pretty fast so if you are registering a camper for paintball or horse camp sign them up as soon as possible.
We have a few camps that look different than they did last year. 3rd & 4th grade camp is now 3rd-5th grade camp. We still have our 5th & 6th grade

camp as well. Our JH Main is 6th-8th grade. We changed this around due to our increase in numbers of these camps. We also are bringing BACK High School Wilderness camp.
If you can’t afford camp, we do have scholarships available, there is an application on our website. If you would like to donate to the scholarship fund to help someone else go to camp. You can donate online, send in a check, or bring it by the office.
We are so excited for what the Lord has in store for Hanging Rock for summer 2025!

Dining Hall Addition Update: |
The building went up so fast, but now the small tedious stuff, which is very important is taking place. The electrical work is nearing completion & spray foam insulation for the ceiling is done. Wall insulation and drywall are scheduled to begin soon. From the outside it looks ready. But, on the inside we still have a ways to go. We continue to get funds in from our churches and individuals to help make this possible. We are so thankful for everyone's support.
We have had to dip into our construction line of credit to pay for what has happened so far for the old dining hall floor and for contractors' payments. We are paying it back with the commitments that our churches and donors will be giving us. We have one final bill to pay for the finish of this building of $63,000. In addition, we are making some changes in the old dining hall to help the transition for these two buildings and the landscaping around the building.
Please keep this in your prayers. Please donate if you are willing to help us finish this project debt free.

The Tack Barn is nearing completion and it's time to get it set back up for camp! I am very excited for this to be finished so we can see the Terry Evans Memorial building in use for all to enjoy. I am looking forward to getting everything ready for camp this summer.
If anyone wants to come out to help, I will have plenty for you to do! Feel free to contact me at caseyisdell@hangingrock.org and we can set up a date.
Thank you!

I want to show you all a glimpse of what it's like to be behind the scenes in camp ministry here at Hanging Rock. Part of my role is to make sure that I capture the most exciting and powerful moments that occur during camps & retreats. From Spirit-led teachings & worship to joyful expressions on the zipline, I have the privilege to capture those moments that you all get to see on our social media platforms & website. Here at Hanging Rock, we also want to provide a space where we can eliminate distractions and allow our guests & campers to zone in on Jesus. We also prepare our facilities & grounds at a high standard prior to our guests arriving on property. Our staff is focused on providing a positive impact to those who enter our property to encounter Jesus while establishing and strengthening relationships in Christ.

We are still trying to figure out this grant that we received and how it will bless the camp. We are very excited that we have been chosen by the Wheeler Foundation for these projects. We have ordered our handicapped lift for the pool. The three main projects from this grant will be:
1. A handicap Pool Lift - $9,400
2. A private handicapped restroom for each of our 8 dorms- $173,000- We have hired Nixon Construction to do these bathrooms. They will be starting on the boy's dorm this month. We hope at least the boy's dorm will be finished before camp. The girl's dorm will begin as soon as we finish the boys.
3. A total handicapped accessible cabin- $60,000. We have had to hire an architect for this cabin and get this approved by the state. We have run into a snag with getting approval because they are wanting us to add a sprinkler system. We do appreciate the Warren County Community Foundation for giving us a grant to help us pay the $3,700 for the architect that will not have to come out of the $60,000 building funds. Guy Phillips is going to lead this project.
This is an incredible gift we have been given. These grants are a reimbursement grant. Meaning we have to pay for these projects upfront and then turn in our paid invoices. This grant is only good until November.
We know these projects will be benefit the camp and it moves us forward in our long-term plans.
Please keep these projects in your prayers.

We are in need of 1- and 2-gallon Ziploc bags, magic erasers, laundry detergent, paper towels, and blue Dawn dish soap. We are also in need of cereal donations. If you are not aware, we go through A LOT of cereal. Usually 10-15 boxes a day, if not more!
We are always blessed by your generosity in helping us pack the pantry with cereal! We are asking again for your help to pack it in 2025. Popular flavors are Lucky Charms, Froot Loops, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Frosted Flakes, Cheerios, Rice Krispies, but we will take all kinds! We are also happy with store brand; it doesn't have to be name brand.
Feel free to reach out to Todd Blair at toddblair@hagingrock.org to arrange pick up of those items, or to arrange drop off at camp! Thank you so much for helping us pack the pantry!
Would your church consider packing the pantry for camp??
