At this year’s Southeast Venture Showcase, hosted by Vanderbilt University and its Center for Technology Transfer and Commercialization, startups worked to secure the funding needed to move their ideas forward. Shoutout to the Vanderbilt-related startups at the showcase: COG Learning, ImageAssist, Kifa Therapeutics, Mobius AI, Neurodiverse Technologies, and Vasowatch.

“By welcoming Nissha Medical Technologies directly onto Vanderbilt’s main campus—our first industry partner to be housed in this way—we are strengthening that connection in significant ways. We are creating the Nashville Innovation Center of Excellence, which is not just a building, but a thriving ecosystem that allows ideas to flourish and move from a whiteboard to a clinical trial with lightning speed,” Chancellor Daniel Diermeier said.

The Brock Family Center for Applied Innovation and Goldfinch Health are hosting an opioid‑focused summit centered on the role employers play in prevention and recovery. The program will explore research and topics specific to opioid use policy, education, prevention, treatment, and recovery and is funded under a grant contract with the Tennessee Opioid Abatement Council.

Space-Edge hosted its annual showcase, featuring researchers and founders from 16 space-enabled ventures pitching to investors, technical experts, and strategic leaders. Vanderbilt’s cohort stood out, with Aura Life Sciences earning the top prize from Rhodium Scientific and several other teams earning top marks from judges.
