Here are some safety tips when working in warmer weather:
|
- Treat Every Run Like New – Stop and reassess conditions before every run.
- Get Technical – Be deliberate with your turns and keep your feet strong and equally weighted
- Watch Your Edges and Ride Mellow – Keep your weight centered when riding slush and flex your core to help your balance.
- Speaking of edges, tune up your equipment. Your skis and boards are the tools you need to do your job well, so take care of them.
- You’ve heard this one before – Stay hydrated! Higher temps and working with heavier snow lead to dehydration.
-
Maintain a bubble – Keep yourself safe by avoiding popular egress routes, make sure you have an “out,” and watch out for each other.

Below are a few of the many guest comments we’ve received, we’ll continue to share these accolades weekly!
|
|
|
- "Ski school was great - we had some very good instructors (Jordan Johnson, Jo Dee Yeoh and Toby Daniell) for our kids."
-
"I hadn't been snowboarding in 25+ years and Beaver Creek came highly recommended from a friend who grew up in CO. My wife and I were not disappointed! The instructors (including Fid Mohamed) for our group lesson were professional and engaging, my wife enjoyed learning how to snowboard and I had a blast getting my legs back under me. We thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary trip to Beaver Creek and we will definitely be back next season!"
-
"First time skier had a FANTASTIC lesson (with Alex Witheiler) and was able to hit the slopes 4 days in a row."
- "We have skied for a number of years with Tom Newmann who is just an absolutely amazing instructor and human being."
- "We have done private lessons the last couple years and... (Julie Terrell was) amazing, truly above and beyond. Kids learned so much!"
- "Brett Gagnon and Scott Birrell are incredible instructors who have become more than just teachers—they are dear friends. We feel blessed to have them by our side. While we’ve noticed some decline in support for the adaptive program, we remain deeply grateful for the instructors who have made a lasting impact on our lives."
