Seasonal Rhythms and Working for Change
We’re two months into 2024, and it feels like spring is in full swing here in Appalachian Ohio. Robins sing like crazy just before dawn and colors are beginning to pop in the hills. We’re eagerly anticipating the bloom of redbuds and dogwoods, planning and prepping our gardens, and starting seeds. In February, too, CFI attended the Ohio Ecological Food and Farming Association [OEFFA] conference, joining hundreds of other individuals with a similar interest in, and commitment to, local and sustainable food. All these actions, recurring year after year, never get old. On the contrary, they leave us re-inspired each year – by nature, by the people we meet, by the work others are doing, by abundant affirmation that the work we do is critical. Together we’re moving forward into a better future where everyone is nourished by a just and thriving food system.
We recently released our Annual Report — and wow, what a testimony to the power of community! Please take a couple minutes to look through this snapshot of the past year. There is much to celebrate, and still much to do! Thank you for being in community with us.
With gratitude,
The CFI team
