EXECUTIVE VICE CHANCELLOR

Dear UT Health Science Center Faculty and Staff:

In April, I shared that the Tennessee General Assembly approved the state budget which, among many significant investments for our institution, included funding for a salary increase for eligible UTHSC employees. The State Budget provided a 3% salary pool for eligible employees.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this increase, you must be a full-time “regular” faculty, exempt staff, or non-exempt staff (term employees, graduate students, and medical residents are not eligible). Regular “part-time” employees are eligible with the raise pro-rated based on percentage of employment. Additionally, your original hire date must have been on or before January 1, 2024. The increase will be effective July 1, 2024 and our goal is to have the increase reflected in July 2024 pay checks (9-month faculty will see this increase take effect in August 2024). For additional details, please refer to the full FY2025 Salary Guidelines document.

We are extremely grateful to our state leaders for their continued support of our incredible employees despite this budget year being a difficult one for the state. Please take the time to thank our leaders if the opportunity presents itself.

Thank you for all you do.
