The July release of TSS is focused on delivering the core capabilities needed to support Fall 2026. As with any major system launch, you may encounter limitations, workarounds or functionality that continues to evolve as the system stabilizes.
The TSS team is actively reviewing reported issues and prioritizing fixes that affect critical university operations, so please use one of the established TSS support channels to ensure your request is tracked and directed to the right team.

TSS has been live for 5 weeks. Here's an update on this week's events:
|
|
|
|
-
TSS is now live for Division of Extended Studies (DES) students! On August 11, DES students started gaining access to TSS and booking fall DES classes.
-
The Student Overview Homepage in TSS is the central hub for all students, main campus and Extended Studies (DES). As of August 11, DES functionality is live in TSS, so the DES section appearing on the Student Overview Homepage is expected and does not indicate an error or require a support ticket. Students only need to utilize this section if they are a DES student. View more information in the TSS Login and Navigation Student Guide.
-
Incoming undergraduate students gain access to TSS. On August 12, the Office of the Registrar messaged incoming first year and transfer students regarding how to access TSS. Note that booking for incoming undergraduates will occur on August 31 and September 1.
- Schedule of Classes update: Review more in our August 10 update on the schedule of classes known issues and the process for addressing related concerns.
-
Justification/Reason field is back for TEA Requests — new requests only. For existing requests, Departments/Colleges should continue to gather this information through methods that work best for your Department or College’s process, such as:
-
Send the request back to the student and ask them to provide the details in Comments. These comments will appear in Status History for staff to review.
- The Justification/Reason field is not editable after submission, so Comments are the only way to have the student add the information directly to the request.
- Gather the information through another method, such as VAC, email, etc., and use it to inform the approval/rejection decision.
- Reject the request and have the student submit a new request with the required justification

|
|
- Triton Enrollment Authorization (TEA) Batch Authorization is now live! This functionality allows advising staff to apply authorization override(s) to individuals or groups of students without requiring students to submit a TEA Request. Read more about the TEA Batch Authorization.
-
Graduate Student Booking: The team has resolved a technical issue affecting students who converted from undergraduate to graduate status. These students were previously receiving booking errors and/or had two conflicting booking windows assigned. This issue is now fixed.
-
Resolved Issues are listed in our TSS Current Limitations & Known Issues document that is updated daily.

Our top priority remains helping students successfully book their courses and resolving issues as quickly as possible. Here's how you can help keep that work moving:
|
- Be Specific:
- Tell us who you are. Include your role and context to assist you swiftly. Examples: "I am a scheduler in Biological Sciences," "I am an undergraduate advisor in Eighth College," or "I am a faculty member."
- Share as much detail as possible. Tell us what you were doing, what you expected to happen and what actually happened. Include screenshots or screen recordings when possible.
-
Report Only Once: Submit one ticket per issue, avoid follow-up check-ins unless you have new information, and close your ticket once resolved. These simple actions help us maintain an accurate view of active issues and focus our attention where it's needed most.
-
Use Official Channels for Updates: Use established communication channels for updates rather than contacting individual team members directly. When new information is available, we'll share it broadly. Bookmark the TSS: Current Limitations & Known Issues live resource as your first stop for updates on ongoing issues.
