The mission of the Learning Center is to help students develop and enhance their academic skills and abilities through cultivating effective learning practices, as well as to build their leadership skills through high-impact leadership and engagement opportunities. We support investment in learning and studying and respect individual learning styles. We strive to foster an environment conducive to collaborative learning, where trained student leaders serve as role models. With the goal of creating lifelong learners, we strive to support students' endeavors toward self-confidence and higher academic achievement and performance.
The vision of The Learning Center is to empower students to achieve their academic and personal goals via opportunities for enhanced learning, interpersonal development, personal responsibility, and leadership. Our three core functions are to provide:

Participants will be treated to free pizza, games, and prizes.

The Learning Center offers targeted academic support designed to help undergraduates succeed in their courses.

We provide online tools, in-person and virtual workshops, and one-on-one academic coaching to help students improve key learning strategies. Topics include:

- Test-Taking Strategies & Exam Prep
- Active Study Techniques
- Motivation & Goal-Setting
- Learning Styles & Campus Study Resources

At the Writing Center, we help students at all stages of the writing process—from brainstorming and organizing ideas to refining structure and style. Our student and faculty consultants offer one-on-one sessions focused on helping you grow as a writer. While we don’t edit your work for you, we’ll teach you how to revise and improve your own writing with confidence.

Need help preparing for a presentation or speech? The Speaking Center offers support with public speaking and oral communication. Our trained peer tutors can help you:

- Practice delivery
- Organize your key points

Develop introductions and conclusions
- Build confidence in your speaking skills

We are currently hiring peer tutors and welcome faculty and staff nominations of exceptional students. Help us grow our team by recommending students who demonstrate academic excellence, communication skills, and a passion for helping others.
