June 1 Scripture focus: Hebrews 11:6 "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." Pray today for Don Reed, class of 1968 and member of the Board of Trustees, as he celebrates his birthday.

2 Pray for President Scott Rich. Pray that he will have wisdom, discernment, peace, and joy.

3 Pray for Rachel (Derstein) Miller, class of 2003, as she celebrates her birthday. Rachel serves on the Board of Trustees at Sterling College. 

4 Pray for the maintenance and groundskeeping crew as they work hard to keep the campus looking beautiful and clean.

5 Pray for recent high school graduates who are still making the decision where to go to college. Pray that SC will be in consideration and that the Lord will lead those to Sterling that should be here.

6 Pray for all SC employees who are traveling this summer for much needed vacations.

7 Thank God for His great love and grace.

8 Scripture focus: Romans 12:12 "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer."

9 Pray for all the summer camps that are taking place on the Sterling College campus this summer.

10 Pray for the recent graduates who received their SC diplomas one month ago today. Ask the Lord to give them guidance as they navigate the next chapter in their lives.

11 Pray that the Lord will bring the right people to fill the open positions on campus.

12 Ask the Lord to blanket the campus, dorm rooms, class rooms, and all facilities with His peace, protection, and joy.

13 Pray that our alumni and friends will have warm hearts towards Sterling College. Pray that they would be moved to pray for the college often and that they would have great generosity in supporting the work and mission.

14 Pray for all fathers this weekend that they would be godly examples to their families.

15 Scripture focus: Philippians 4: 6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

16 Please keep Campus Pastor Jose Carrillo, Enrollment Specialist Mason Rich, Vice President for Advancement and Alumni Relations David Earle, and President Scott Rich in your prayers as they travel to Northville, Michigan, to represent the college at the Evangelical Presbyterian Church General Assembly.

17 Accountability can be difficult. Ask God to encourage us all to seek accountability and wise counsel.

18 Pray for the leaders of our country today. Pray that they will make wise choices as they govern our state and nation.

19 Pray for our Sterling College Online Learning students. They are scattered across the United States, and many are working full-time or part-time jobs as they earn their degrees.

20 Lift up the staff who remain on campus during the summer. May God grant them favor as they manage tasks and prepare for the upcoming school year. 

21 Pray that our students will take time to seek God in their daily lives.

22 Scripture focus:  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."

23 Pray for the alumni and friends of Sterling to give generously to help provide a top-notch educational experience for our students. May their giving assist the college in meeting the fundraising goals set for this fiscal year, which ends on the 30th. 

24 Lift up all Sterling College coaches as they continue to recruit student-athletes for this fall.

25 Pray for our future Warriors. Ask God to continue to shape them in their present season of life.

26 Thank the Lord that Sterling College has remained true to its mission of developing creative and thoughtful leaders who understand a maturing Christian faith.

27 Pray for the administrative assistants on campus as they organize busy schedules and plan important events at Sterling College.

28 Praise God for summer! Thank Him for the sunshine and warm weather.

29 Scripture focus: Ephesians 4:32 "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."

30 Tomorrow, the college begins a new fiscal year. Pray that God will give discernment as the College seeks to best steward the finances God has granted.
