Oracle Cloud Updates

Oracle Update 22A completed

The quarterly upgrade to Release 22A was completed the weekend of Feb 18-19.

Following this update, Expense Delegates will receive period notification of outstanding One Card charges for each person for whom they are a delegate. In addition, users will see updates to the Departmental Playbook screens when viewing reports.

Year-end documents for 2021 are now available for download in Oracle Cloud. Users may review and download their documents here.

In Focus: Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity continues to be a theme for calendar year 2022. As announced earlier this month via MyVU, Vanderbilt has completed implementing email security enhancements to prevent spoofing of @vanderbilt.edu email addresses.

Following these updates, unauthorized third-party email services (e.g., Constant Contact, Mailchimp) will no longer deliver emails from an @vanderbilt.edu address, and thus departments should not purchase subscriptions to these services. If your department determines that you have a new need to send large email campaigns, please contact your VUIT relationship manager to discuss the available authorized solutions.

Oracle Cloud Purchase Requisitions module tile

The Purchasing and Payment Services and OCI Oracle Cloud teams are currently working to implement an update to the punch-out catalog shopping experience during Spring 2022.

With this enhancement, users will be able to open supplier punch-out catalogs directly from the Purchase Requisitions page, rather than opening these via Aquiire.

Punch-outs will be transitioned from Aquiire into Purchase Requisitions over the course of the Spring, and additional information will be provided as specific catalogs are migrated.

Financial Unit Managers, HCM Specialists and BU/E Approvers

The recording of Session 22A is now available for review.

FUMs, HCM Specialists, Approvers and other enrollees should access the Oracle Cloud Continuing Education: Financials and Core HR User Group 2022 series in Oracle Learning to download calendar invitations for future meetings.

Procurement Requesters

The Oracle Cloud Continuing Education: Procurement User Group 2022 series has been created in Oracle Learning, and Session 22A is now available.

All procurement users should review this brief video to understand key upcoming enhancements to Oracle Procurement. Additional sessions will be added over the course of this calendar year to review new features and best practices.
