A Message from Miranda Hicks & Brigid Kenny

Thank you for the incredible experiences you create for our guests every day. The passion, professionalism, and heart you bring to the snow truly make a difference, and it shows in the smiles, confidence, and memories our guests take home. You are pros, and we’re proud of the work you do.

As the season continues, we want to emphasize that Safety of Self is your number one priority. Taking care of yourself matters. Staying safe: physically, mentally, and emotionally, is a priority all season long. Listen to your body, look out for one another, and never hesitate to speak up or slow down when needed. When you take care of yourself, you’re able to bring your best to the mountain and to each other.

We’re grateful for this team and inspired by the community we’re building together.

Thank you for all that you do,

Miranda & Brigid

What is Net Promoter Score and How is it calculated?

A Net Promoter Score (NPS) measures customer loyalty by asking how likely they are to recommend a company, product, or service on a 0-10 scale, categorizing respondents into Promoters (9-10), Passives (7-8), and Detractors (0-6), then calculating the score by subtracting the percentage of Detractors from the percentage of Promoters, resulting in a score from -100 to +100.

How it works

1. Ask the Question: "On a scale of 0 to 10, how likely are you to recommend [Company/Product] to a friend or colleague?".

2. Categorize Responses:

  • Promoters (9-10): Loyal enthusiasts who will keep buying and refer others.
  • Passives (7-8): Satisfied but unenthusiastic, vulnerable to competitors.
  • Detractors (0-6): Unhappy customers who can harm your brand through negative word-of-mouth.

3. Calculate Percentages: Find the percentage of total respondents in each category.

  • % Promoters = (Number of Promoters / Total Respondents) * 100.
  • % Detractors = (Number of Detractors / Total Respondents) * 100.

4. Calculate the NPS: Subtract the % Detractors from the % Promoters.

  • NPS = (% Promoters) - (% Detractors) .

 Epic Wellness Toolkit & Resources

What: February is Epic Wellness Month – an opportunity to focus on personal wellness and self-care, and explore all the tools available through Vail Resorts to help us do so.

Why: Our teams worked incredibly hard to make the holiday period a success. Now, as we reflect on the start of the season and prepare for the rest of the winter, it is an important moment for our teams to focus on their own wellbeing. We are encouraging everyone to explore the range of tools and resources available through our Epic Wellness program.

We encourage you to explore these and other wellness resources, and use them as needed to support yourself, your friends and family, and your colleagues. You can find all your wellness resources at any time by going to EpicEmployee and clicking on 'My Wellness.' Support from our EAP is also available by phone 24/7 at (800) 873-7138.
