Student Spotlight

 

Congratulations to Jiaqi Liu for presenting her recent joint work with Juhi Jang and Nader Masmoudi on waiting time solutions in gas dynamics at the AMS 2025 Fall Southeastern Sectional Meeting! Jiaqi discussed the construction of a continuum family of self-similar waiting time solutions for the one-dimensional compressible Euler equations with the vacuum boundary, which exhibit the change of the boundary behavior, singularity formation and continuation. The work has answered an open question in the vacuum free boundary Euler problem in gas dynamics and it has been recently published by Journal de Mathematiques Pures et Appliquees. Congratulations again, Jiaqi!"

Get personalized, 30-minute assistance on topics like organization, study strategies, and time management. Note: KCLC services are not available during University Holidays (Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving break, etc.).

Here's the New Two-Step Scheduling Process:

This lets you select an in-person or online session.
2. Schedule your 30-minute appointment using the Calendly link provided after the survey.
You can schedule up to 14 days in advance and no later than 4 hours before the appointment time.
