EXECUTIVE VICE CHANCELLOR |

Dear Colleagues,
Air conditioning service in several buildings on the Memphis campus has been temporarily disrupted due to an issue which MLGW is actively working to resolve. This is leading to classrooms and workspaces not being conducive for learning and work. We currently do not have a timeline from MLGW on when the issue will be resolved.
In person classes taking place in the affected buildings will be cancelled. Instructors and Program Directors should notify students of the cancellation accordingly. Regular online classes and classes in buildings not affected by the services disruption will continue to meet as usual. Clinical operations are encouraged to make appropriate decisions to adjust schedules as needed to accommodate patient needs.
Employees working in buildings affected by this service disruption should be directed by their supervisors to work remotely for the remainder of the day. Employees who normally are unable to work remotely, and do not work in an essential service operation, should complete tasks or professional development as assigned by their supervisor from a remote location. Employees working in essential service operations, including LACU and select research personnel, should proceed at the direction of their supervisor.
Our facilities department is working diligently with MLGW to restore air conditioning service to the impacted areas. Please continue to monitor your email and the UTHSC website for updates.
Sincerely,
Raaj Kurapati
Executive Vice Chancellor and Chief Operating Officer
