Annual ICTS Member Survey Results

35% of all ICTS members responded to the survey administered in early 2025. Almost three-quarters of survey respondents who were engaged with ICTS reported that membership helped them obtain funding or advance their career, compared to 51% of non-engaged respondents! Most members were engaged with ICTS, but many reported funding challenges and uncertainty, along with administrative challenges around contract negotiations and compliance.

CTSA Network News

NIH Policy Notice: Supporting Fairness and Originality in NIH Research Applications
The NIH has recently observed a growing trend of Principal Investigators (PIs) submitting large numbers of applications, some of which may have been generated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools. Starting with applications submitted for the September 25, 2025, receipt date and beyond, NIH will only accept six new, renewal, resubmission, or revision applications from an individual PI/Program Director or Multiple PI in a calendar year. Furthermore, the NIH will no longer consider applications that are either substantially developed by AI, or contain sections substantially developed by AI, to be original ideas of applicants.

Register Now for the 7th Reproducibility Rounds Webinar - Non-Reproducibility of Real-World Data Research: A Case Study
This webinar will highlight the real-world data platforms that are increasingly used at research institutions due to their accessibility and rich, contemporaneous data across healthcare systems. These platforms lower barriers to research and are especially attractive to early-stage investigators who might have limited data-gathering resources. However, real-world data studies pose significant design and analytic challenges that must be addressed to ensure rigor and reproducibility. The webinar is hosted by the Stanford CTSA Program on Research Rigor & Reproducibility (SPORR).
