Over the past academic year, the university celebrated its 150th anniversary and looked to the future with a number of events—from the sesquicentennial kickoff carnival in August to Chalk the Walk and Spring Commencement in May. Check out a photo gallery that chronicles this year of celebration.

This week, Todd Thompson, professor of English, started his new role as Cook Honors College director. He succeeds Chauna Craig, who led the college since 2019 and will continue to serve on the Department of Language, Literature, and Writing faculty. Learn more about Thompson’s work since joining the faculty in 2009.

The Crimson Scholars Circle is a scholarship program that provides community and extra support to students who need it on their path to graduation. Many program participants go on to mentor incoming Crimson Scholars. In this video, hear from the scholars themselves about friendships and opportunities they’ve found through the program.
