Congratulations to the Whiting family on the birth of Grady Savoy Whiting to Michael and Breane Whiting and big brother Dade.
Grady was born on February 2 at 12:14 p.m., 6 lbs. 3 oz. and 19 inches long.
St. Luker Shelia Barchuck is the proud grandmother to both Grady and Dade.
We appreciate the faithful commitment St. Lukers make to the church's ministries. Click the button below to help us celebrate the next few months of church partnership anniversaries.
John Lovitz passed away on February 8, 2023. John was a valiant man of God who never met a stranger and spread love wherever he went.
A service for John was held on February 25 with Pastor Jad Denmark officiating. Please keep his wife Diane, daughter Kerry, and all who loved him in your prayers.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to St. Luke's Care Ministries by clicking here. Leave a note stating funds to the Care Ministries, or make a donation to the Salvation Army.
Circles West Orange Celebration
Circles West Orange, one of PSG's anchor initiatives, celebrated two major milestones!
Ruth Berlus and Shequila Roberts each completed 18 months in Circles, working on their economic stability plans.
Nichole Stahl and Brianna Thomas completed their Circle Leader training and are about to begin their 18-month journey with their Allies (volunteer supporters).
Congratulations to all of you for your hard work and perseverance, and thank you to St. Luke's for being such a strong supporter and funder!
Celebrating a New Partnership!
Please join us in celebrating Missions’ new partnership with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP)!
As part of our Restoring Hope Initiative, we are so excited that SHP fits well with our commitment to sustainable and dignified housing for our neighbors.
Across the U.S., so many children go without a bed to sleep on. These children end up sleeping on floors – sometimes without a mattress. A bed is a basic need for a child's physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
SHP is a national organization answering the call to a national problem. They partner with organizations to build, assemble, and deliver top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need. "NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!®️”
Stay tuned for ways you can get involved with SHP!
The February featured Staff Shout Out goes to the Assistant Director of Care Ministries, Antony Larry!
A big Shout Out to Antony Larry, Associate Director of Care Ministries & Worship Engagement, for the loving care he provides to all who are grieving.
Recently a member of the East Winter Garden community reached out to Antony to share about a family there who had recently lost their daughter. Antony recognized the girl's name as she had been his former student when he worked with Arts After Five in the community. The family was heavily grieving and did not know where to turn. He was able to connect the family with a reputable and economical funeral home that St. Luke's recommends.
In addition, he also connected with Circles and the Missions Team and through their assistance, Antony was able to order a dinner for the family through Uber Eats during this very difficult time.
This is just one example of how Antony cares for families when they need care the most. Thank you for helping this family and all the others you walk within your role.
