Office of the Dean of Students
Hello Fellow Longhorns,

In my first message as the new dean of students, I want to welcome all of you to the Forty Acres. Regardless of your academic year, my message is the same: use this time to make connections and be involved in campus life.

Our campus has more than 1,000 student organizations waiting for you to join to maximize living your Longhorn life. From forming friendships to volunteerism, research shows members of student organizations have a greater satisfaction with their college experience, a deeper sense of connection and stronger overall well-being. Organizations are a core component of the Longhorn community — paving the way for progress and change while also supporting our UT Austin traditions.

The Office of the Dean of Students team supports all student organizations registered with the University. We put students first and are ready to partner with you to serve, coach, support, plan and celebrate the outstanding achievements of your work within campus organizations. We also collaborate with colleges and schools to enhance your academic journey because belonging to and leading student organizations is a highlight of the college experience.

The Office of the Dean of Students and the Division of Student Affairs are here today, and every day, to support you with the programs, spaces and resources you need to thrive.

Hook ’em!
