A Message from Raquel Ruíz

Dear ¡DALHE! members,
As we step into summer, I want to take a heartfelt moment to acknowledge all that we’ve moved through together in recent months. These are very complex and uncertain times, and while it hasn’t been easy— your strength, compassion, and care for one another have made a meaningful difference.

¡DALHE! was created with community, connection, and mutual support at its core. As we continue to navigate the pace and pressures of our work, I hope we remember the power of leaning on each other—with empathy, encouragement, and a shared sense of purpose.

Please don’t forget to care for yourself—physically, emotionally, and mentally. Your well-being matters.

This season, I also hope you find moments to pause, recharge, and enjoy well-deserved joy through the summer activities ahead. Let’s continue to lift one another up and make space for both reflection and celebration in the days to come.

Cordialmente,
Raquel Ruíz

June 7 Cultural Event

On Saturday, June 7, a group of us gathered for a special tour of the “Art of the Andes” exhibit at the Nasher Museum. This was a wonderful opportunity for colleagues to connect outside of the work environment while also enriching our collective cultural awareness.

The exhibit featured ceramics, textiles, metalwork, and carvings produced by cultures across the Andes region, a 4500-mile-long mountain range on the Pacific coast of South America.

Congratulations, Raquel!

Raquel Ruíz is one of the 2025 recipients of the Michelle P. Winn Staff Award.  Congratulations!!
