Meet at the Well and Celebration for Sallia Bandy
Pot Luck Lunch on Sunday, May 18, following the late service.
We have a special tradition called Meet at the Well twice a year. It’s a potluck lunch where we come together to hear from our leaders and share some important things about leadership in the church. We’ll be having another one on Sunday, May 18th, right after the late service. This time, we’ll be focusing on Sallia’s amazing ministry among us over the past 17 years.
We’re also collecting a love offering for Sallia, and you’re more than welcome to mark your check, envelope, or online donation “Love Offering.” It would mean the world to us if you could join us!
Also, all are invited to make your way to the second floor to take a look at the exciting results of our building refresh—including the beautifully repaired cupola, brand-new flooring, and freshly painted walls!

Grief is a journey best made with friends. The Congregational Care Ministry will be forming an 8-week grief support group that will be open to anyone experiencing the loss of a loved in the last year, or to anyone who continues to suffer from grief after a longer period of time. Just a few of the topics that will be covered are understanding the role that brain mapping plays with grief, rumination and regret, facing special days and holidays, spirituality during grief, and building a new normal. Pastor Jeff and Marj Sippel will be leading this group, and the first meeting will be held in the Chapel, Rm 204, 9:00-10:00 a.m. each week beginning on Thursday, May 8 and ending Thursday, June 26. This group is open to the community. For more information, please contact Beverly Smythia, 409-351-8332 or bsmythia@gmail.com.
