Effective July 16, 2022, the number 988 became active for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL). Now, callers using the 988 prefix without the area code are directed to the NSPL. As a reminder, you must use the area code and seven-digit number when making calls to avoid any misdialed calls to the NSPL and the inconvenience of calls not being carried out. |
