In 2023, CAC started a new annual tradition called Colors Day — a week filled with vibrant dress-up days and fun activities throughout the week just like during homecoming. Mrs. Hodges and student council came up with these new traditions last year. “We started it as a new tradition to honor basketball and to provide a fun week for people in January,” Mrs. Hodges said.

On this week's edition of Speak Up, we interviewed seventh grader Ashten Del Toro. In the future, his goal is to become a doctor. "Applying to many colleges and focusing on my grades can help prepare me to be a doctor in the future. It takes a lot of hard work, but I am willing to put the work in," he says.
