SBCC Raices First Year and Beyond and SBCC Luria Library are partnering to bring Reyna Grande to SBCC for a book reading and question-and-answer event. The community is invited and the author will also be signing books after the question-and-answer portion of the event. The First 25 people to attend the event will receive a free copy of the author's book, Migrant Heart!
More about the author: Award-winning author Reyna Grande illuminates the complexities of immigration, family separation, and the pursuit of the American Dream through her work. Born in Mexico, she crossed the border at the age nine to reunite with her parents—a defining experience captured in her bestselling memoirs, The Distance Between Us and A Dream Called Home. Her other works include the novels Across a Hundred Mountains, Dancing with Butterflies, and A Ballad of Love and Glory. She’s also co-editor of Somewhere We Are Human: Authentic Voices on Immigration, Survival, and New Beginnings.
