The Warhawk men’s bowling club claimed the 2025 United States Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Team Championship on April 14-19 in Las Vegas to finish off an impressive season, when it swept the conference, national club, and national collegiate championships.

Students who are part of the King/Chávez Scholars program will present their undergraduate research at the annual Research Symposium on Thursday, May 8, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the University Center’s Old Main Ballroom (room 275). The Warhawk women’s tennis team will make its 17th consecutive trip to the NCAA Division III Championship tournament after winning the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Team Tournament over the weekend.

Seven students from UW-Whitewater presented their undergraduate research at the 2025 American Association of Geographers Annual Meeting on March 24-28 in Detroit.

Kudos to Pilar Melero, professor of world languages and cultures and chair of the department, who conducted the bilingual virtual poetry workshop "Sobre el lenguaje, nuestros nombres, y otros sentires" ("On Language, Our Names, and Other Emotions") on April 1, 2025, at the University of Northern Florida International Poetry Festival.
Kudos to UW-Whitewater students, faculty, and staff who helped put on the Wisconsin Society of Human Resources (SHRM) student summit on April 5 at Hyland Hall. UW-Whitewater SHRM students and human resource management majors Breanna Techert of Kenosha, Kate George of Oconomowoc, and Cameron Deml of Holmen played integral roles in the execution of the event. Are you graduating this May and planning to attend your commencement ceremony? If so, you receive seven commencement wristbands — which serve as entry tickets — to distribute to your guests. Wristbands can be picked up Monday, April 16, through Friday, May 16, at One Stop, located in University Center room 129 (inside the Warhawk Connection Center) between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, or on the day of commencement at the WIlliams Center will-call window.
