The Warhawk men’s bowling club claimed the 2025 United States Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Team Championship on April 14-19 in Las Vegas to finish off an impressive season, when it swept the conference, national club, and national collegiate championships.

Hired Before Graduation starts this week 

If you are graduating in May 2025 and have landed a job, earned a job promotion, been accepted to graduate school or started a company before commencement, join us starting this Thursday, May 1, to continue this tradition by having your photo taken professionally and posted to our Hired Before Graduation social media campaign. No appointment is needed — we’ll see you there!

King/Chávez Annual Research Symposium

Students who are part of the King/Chávez Scholars program will present their undergraduate research at the annual Research Symposium on Thursday, May 8, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the University Center’s Old Main Ballroom (room 275). Join us to celebrate this year’s scholars and recognize their hard work.

End of Year Celebration at the UC

Celebrate the end of the semester at the UC Live End of Year Celebration! Join us this Thursday, May 1, from 1-3 p.m. on the UC North Mall (rain location: UC Hamilton Room) for free fun with your HawkCard. There will be grad cap decorating, axe throwing, heart string art, live music by American Idol finalist Rocky Peter, and food at the purple trailer. Don’t miss it!

Warhawks Give 2025 starts Wednesday 

For 1868 minutes — honoring the year of UW-Whitewater’s founding — Warhawk alums, donors, and friends will come together to support scholarships, campus programs, and the future of UW-Whitewater. Join us this Wednesday-Thursday, April 30-May 1, to make your impact on the Warhawk experience.

UW-Whitewater's Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE)-Beta Gamma Chapter earned national recognition at the PSE National Convention on March 19-22 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Women’s tennis earns WIAC title, NCAA bid

The Warhawk women’s tennis team will make its 17th consecutive trip to the NCAA Division III Championship tournament after winning the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Team Tournament over the weekend.

Kudos to Pilar Melero, professor of world languages and cultures and chair of the department, who conducted the bilingual virtual poetry workshop "Sobre el lenguaje, nuestros nombres, y otros sentires" ("On Language, Our Names, and Other Emotions") on April 1, 2025, at the University of Northern Florida International Poetry Festival.

Kudos to UW-Whitewater students, faculty, and staff who helped put on the Wisconsin Society of Human Resources (SHRM) student summit on April 5 at Hyland Hall. UW-Whitewater SHRM students and human resource management majors Breanna Techert of Kenosha, Kate George of Oconomowoc, and Cameron Deml of Holmen played integral roles in the execution of the event. In addition, Stephanie Hartmann, deputy chief human resources officer, served on a panel discussing HR career paths for students at the summit. SHRM »

Are you graduating this May and planning to attend your commencement ceremony? If so, you receive seven commencement wristbands — which serve as entry tickets — to distribute to your guests. Wristbands can be picked up Monday, April 16, through Friday, May 16, at One Stop, located in University Center room 129 (inside the Warhawk Connection Center) between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, or on the day of commencement at the WIlliams Center will-call window. Photo ID is required to pick up wristbands. Commencement »

The following UW-Whitewater faculty members have been named finalists for the Cisco/Presidio Teaching with Technology Innovator Honorarium:
