6TH - 8TH GRADE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY – ARLINGTON FOOD ASSISTANCE CENTER
Please join other OLV families in a volunteer opportunity at Arlington Food Assistance Center on Friday, May 10th from 2:00pm to 3:30pm.
The volunteer opportunity is for participants 12 years old and up. One adult participant is required for every 5 youth volunteers.
Since OLV has a 12:15pm dismissal on May 10th, we would be happy to pick up students at dismissal, feed them a pizza lunch, and then drive them to the Arlington Food Assistance Center volunteer event. We will bring students back to OLV (Whitehaven entrance) at 4:00pm. Please consider this an alternative to the library!
Arlington Food Assistance Center currently distributes food weekly to 2,500 families. The organization provides 30% of the food to children and 15% to the elderly community. OLV volunteers will sort and bag food donation items in the warehouse for distribution on the weekend.
Please contact Marta Pernas at martalpernas@gmail.com for additional details or to RSVP for the volunteer event.
Caregivers must complete a waiver for each youth volunteer.
Event Date: Friday, May 10
Time: 2PM – 3:30PM
