SAFE ENVIRONMENT REMINDERS
Parents wishing to serve as volunteers for classroom parties, field trips, or other activities (including coaching) are required to be Safe Environment certified through the Archdiocese of Omaha.
Mr. Bentzen annually reviews the Safe Environment status of all parents in late July/early August; information from that review relative to certification status and/or expiration dates is then provided to parents at the start of the year. Given that records for 1600+ parents need to be given consideration, that full review is only done once a year. On a monthly basis, parents with expiration dates for the previous and upcoming months receive emails regarding expiration of certification or the need to renew.
But the school still won’t know if parents attend a live training session and receive first time Safe Environment certification unless parents notify us, or a classroom teacher asks about the status of a particular parent with regard to an upcoming activity.
You can help us keep our records up to date by emailing Mr. Bentzen (bentzenr@svdpomaha.org) when you have completed a live training session or have renewed your Safe Environment certification. If you have any other questions about Safe Environment certification, feel free to contact Mr. Bentzen with those as well.

We are asking ALL parents to pre-register their student(s) here: https://www.shopfund.com/parentregister
AFTER YOU REGISTER, you can then go to the Parent Dashboard to add your students to your account.
To find our school in the "School or Group" box, type "Vincent" and click on "St Vincent De Paul School - Omaha 68164-5425" when it pops up.
Please get at least one person to support our fundraiser before our official kick-off day. Any student that is registered and gets 10 shares clicked will be entered into a drawing for over $100,000 worth of prizes. How cool would it be if we took a chunk out of our goal BEFORE the fundraiser even starts?
