Maseeh sponsorship mean's basketball game collaboration sponsorship with The School of Business and the College of Liberal Arts & Science was a chance to take on the other schools at half time and network across campus units.

PSU hosted the annual STEM Like A Girl workshop this past month, welcoming over 50 girls between 3rd and 5th grade to explore Maseeh's labs and participate in hands-on STEM activities like the Airdrop Design challenge that utilized Maseeh's stairwell as they tested their carrier's abilities to safely deliver supplies from the air.
PSU's Society of Women Engineers hosted a Discussion with Engineering Leaders in collaboration with SWE Columbia River featuring a panel and Q&A with insights and advice on internships, career growth in engineering, leadership, and professional development.

Natalie Frank (MME) PhD student got first place in the PSU 3 Minute Thesis, and Kaleb Hood (MME) PhD student placed second. Congratulations to both students for their hard work and we wish Natalie the best of luck in the larger Western Association of Graduate Schools competition in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
We in Computer Science (WiCS) cohosted their first hackathon with NorseHacks, a new group started by Pouya Nouri (CS student). Over the course of 24 hours, participants had to code a project that furthers sustainability. The winning project was PDXEcoSorter, an app that could help create a sustainable management system for food and benefit businesses.

Wu-chang Feng (CS) recently ran a workshop "Generative Security Application Engineering and PentestMCP” at the 2026 National Science Foundation Scholarship for Service Principal Investigator Meeting and Symposium.
Primal Pappachan (CS) and Shravas Rao (CS) completed PSU's Catalyst Immersive Program, designed to help secure grant funding for research.
Congratulations to the Maseeh students, finalists in the PSU Cleantech Challenge: Biniyam Mossie (MME), David Castro (MME), and Viking Motor Sports! Tong Zhang, Assistant Dean for Inclusive Innovation, will be a judge for the finals on March 27th.
Maseeh students and cohorts from our SPARK and EAGLES FUTURES programs enjoyed a recent site visit to Intel to learn about the company and career possibilities.

On March 14, STEAM Circuit founded by Maseeh alum, Yoseph Ukbazghi (MME) is hosting The Silicon Forest Tech Summit which is a space where innovation, community, and leadership intersect to shape the future of our region with intention and agility. Join speakers from Daimler, Microsoft, Nike, Autodesk and more to discuss Agility in a Time of Change.

Portland Metro STEM Partnership will be hosting the Thornovation Robotics Invitational showcase at the Engineering Building on Saturday, February 21st in partnership with the Portland Thorns and First Tech Credit Union. Over 100 elementary and middle school students will be in attendance to showcase their own robotics projects, as well as to explore labs and participate in activities led by Maseeh student groups.
Oregon Engineers Week is coming up, and Maseeh College will be participating in the high school program on February 24th at the Lloyd Center Double Tree and will be bringing students to campus for a field trip.

The 3rd annual Maseeh College Transfer Day is on February 27 from 12:30 - 4:30pm, starting at University Place. We will be welcoming prospective transfer students for an informative panel of current transfer students, tours of labs, and resource fair.
Maseeh College PhD Day is scheduled for May 15th. The program features poster sessions, Three‑Minute Thesis (3MT) presentations, keynote talks, and awards recognizing excellence across degree levels.

Applications are open until March 29th for an Undergraduate Virtual Research Opportunity for Computational Modeling Serving Portland with the teuscher.:lab. Students will be involved in multi-disciplinary, community-based research projects and trained in computational thinking across different disciplines.
