Sunday School: On Sunday, May 4, Sunday School classes will meet for the first time in the newly-renovated Linthicum Hall. We look forward to welcoming children, youth, and their teachers into this beautiful facility.
Volunteers Needed: On Sunday, May 4, parishioners are invited to prepare brown bag lunches-to-go for guests of Christ Church’s longtime mission partner, Georgetown Ministry Center. For more information or to volunteer, contact parishioner Frances Augenblick.
Faith and Foreign Policy: The next installment in Christ Church’s ongoing Faith and Foreign Policy series will take place on Monday, May 12, at 6:30 p.m., when we will welcome parishioner and retired foreign service officer Matt Boyse, who served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs. In this capacity, Boyce oversaw U.S. policy toward central Europe and the Office of the Special Envoy for Holocaust Issues. He is now a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, and a faculty member at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies and The George Washington University. The session will be moderated by parishioner Bill Courtney. Light refreshments will be served. To register, click here.

Bite-sized Bible Study: Join fellow parents of nursery and Sunday School-aged children for a team-led, 30-minute exploration of the Book of Psalms. The group gathers on Sundays, at 10:15 a.m., in the Memorial Room (Linthicum Hall, 3rd Floor). Nursery care for infants and toddlers, as well as supervised, age-appropriate activities for older children, will be provided this Sunday in the Chapel of Saint Jude. For more information, contact parishioners Julia Ainsley, Megan Murton, or Matthew Fredericks.
Choral Evensong: The next service of Choral Evensong will take place on Sunday, May 4, at 5:00 p.m. It will include works by Cecilia McDowall, Robert Parsons, Michael Sitton, and Charles Villiers Stanford. A reception will follow. Do join us… and bring a friend. NOTE: The final Evensong of the 2024-2025 season (and the last service with the parish’s current church organ) will be sung on Sunday, May 18, at 5:00 p.m.
Women’s Bible Study: All women of the parish and their guests are invited to participate in an exploration of the Book of Exodus, a captivating and poetic narrative that tells the story of God’s liberation of his people from slavery in Egypt and his gift of the law at Mount Sinai. The group will meet on Tuesdays, May 6 and 13, and June 10, at 6:00 p.m., in Keith Hall. Those who are unable to attend in person are welcome to participate virtually. For more information, contact Deacon Tiffany Clark.
Thursday Morning Bible Study: Parishioners of all ages and stages of life are invited to this fortnightly study of selected psalms, co-led by parishioners Ernest Clark, Virginia Mentz, and David Straut. Sessions will take place on Thursdays, May 8 and 22, and June 5, at 8:00 a.m., in Keith Hall. Preparation for discussions is beneficial, but not essential.
Feeding Ministry: Christ Church’s Feeding Ministry will next provide a meal to those in need on Sunday, May 11. Parishioners of all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate. Volunteers prepare food and clean up in the Keith Hall kitchen from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. Grate Patrol volunteers then partner with the Salvation Army to deliver and serve the food from 6:15 to 8:00 p.m. To volunteer, sign up here.
Wind Down Wednesday: On the second Wednesday of each month, the women of Christ Church are invited to join members of the clergy and staff, and fellow parishioners for food, beverages, and the opportunity to create lasting bonds amidst the busyness of everyday life. The next gathering will take place today, Wednesday, May 14, 6:00 p.m., at Millie’s. Family members, friends, and neighbors are most welcome! For more information, contact Chrissy Casey.
