Description: This session shares the educational guiding principles behind adopting Case-Based Learning (CBL) at The University of Tyler School of Medicine, insights from our experiences, challenges, and successes. Participants will be involved in discussing guiding principles to develop self-directed and lifelong learning, CBL dynamics, and strategic considerations in faculty facilitation and assessment.

Dr. Carolina Restini is currently an associate editor on a Research Topic entitled Evidence-based outreach/service-learning to improve health-related self-efficacy through STEMM education. It's being published in the journal Frontiers in Public Health. She is looking for others who may be interested in contributing. The submission deadline is March 4, 2024, and you can read more here. Please reach out to Dr. Restini at restinic@msu.edu.
