Welcome back! As we gear up for Fall 2024, we're excited to share a wealth of new tech tools and resources to enhance your teaching experience at CSUN. This month's newsletter is packed with innovations designed to streamline your work and enrich your students' learning journey.
First up, don't miss our new Fall Prep Packet – your go-to guide for semester readiness. It's brimming with essentials like the course readiness checklist, Canvas assistance resources, and insights on ePortfolios and Universal Design & Accessibility. Speaking of Canvas, download the CSUN Canvas Template from Canvas Commons, a collaborative effort to align your courses with the CSU's educational standards and inclusive teaching principles.
You will also find the Student Tech Resources Module, updated with AI information, in Canvas Commons to help your students navigate CSUN's digital landscape. Our IT Faculty Tech Services flyer outlines the array of tools available to you, from accessibility features to Canvas Insights for early student alerts.
And heads up – myCSUNsoftware is transitioning to the Apporto platform on August 21st with support available on the myCSUNsoftware website. Lastly, don't forget to explore our workshop calendar, including innovative ways to integrate AI into assignments, mastering the Canvas Gradebook, as well as professional development courses available through the CSU.
And make sure to save the date for our annual Spook-TECH-ular event on October 9th from 12 to 2pm in the Garden Level of the University Library.
