In an increasingly competitive and unpredictable national funding environment, our continued success in securing research support speaks volumes. It reflects the distinct strength of UC San Diego Health Sciences — where insights from academia, industry partners and patients spark meaningful questions, and discoveries move seamlessly between the lab and the bedside. It’s also a testament to our longstanding reputation as a collaborative scholarly community, one where scientific rigor and entrepreneurial creativity coexist.
Today’s funding landscape rewards momentum: bold experimentation, rapid iteration and clear progress that signals both capability and vision. Just as importantly, it calls for active stewardship of our resources. Now is the time to fully utilize our available grant funding to ensure we remain at the forefront of discovery and innovation.
