If you’re a May graduate and you’ve been hired, promoted by an employer, or accepted to graduate school or you’ve started your own business, we invite you to be part of Hired Before Graduation. We’ll recognize your achievements on social media and at spring commencement. Our first of three photo sessions takes place this Thursday, April 30, from 2:30-6:30 p.m. in room 275B of the University Center. Can’t make it to a session? Contact umc@uww.edu to make arrangements.

Tuesday: “You Are Enough” inclusivity forum

The UW-Whitewater Inclusivity Forum is set for this Tuesday, April 28, in the Young Performing Arts Center beginning at 10:30 a.m. The day includes a session on mental health challenges prevalent among college students, a performance by UWW Hawk-Kor, directed by Brian Leeper, senior lecturer of music, and a student-focused alumni panel moderated by Brandon LePage, assistant professor of music.

| Wednesday: Storm chasing documentary premiere
|
Join us in Summers Auditorium for the premiere of "Beyond the Dryline," a documentary by Peyton Walz, a journalism major from New London, this Wednesday, April 29, at 6 p.m. The film tells the story of the storm-chasing class taught by John Frye, associate professor of geography and geology, and shows the journey and the storms the group experienced during the 2025 trip. The viewing will be followed by Q&A. This event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be provided.

Five Warhawks attended the 2026 Operation Stimulus Supply Chain Case Competition, hosted by Colorado State University, from Feb. 19-21, 2026.

Kudos to Morgan Anderson, assistant dean of the School of Graduate Studies, who was selected to participate in the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) 2026 Emerging Leaders Program. The program, which takes place from May-December, includes a three-day, in-person program in Washington, D.C., 10 interactive virtual workshops between August-December, and a participant-led campus project or initiative.
