The new month brings new exciting opportunities!

A Note from our Vice President for Enrollment Management, Lacey Weese:

Happy September!

We did it—we made it through the madness of August! Here at Tennessee Wesleyan, we are celebrating another record enrollment year and we couldn’t be happier! We saw an increase in our Dual Enrollment population this year, nearly doubling our DE population within one year.  This year we were able to have TWU classes taught on campus, online, and even in some high schools. Let me know if I can answer any questions for you regarding Dual Enrollment at TWU.

One of our favorite parts about the start of the new cycle is our First Admits, where we go into high schools and present one student from the school as our “First Admit” from that school for the Fall 2027 class. We have a number scheduled throughout the first weeks of September and then we will begin officially accepting students the week of September 14. Stay tuned….you never know where we will pop up!

If our Student Financial Services can be of any assistance with FAFSA filing or FSA username set up, please reach out to our Director of Financial Aid Ms. Stefanie Lones at slones@tnwesleyan.edu. We would love to help your students get their aid secured early for the upcoming year. Along those lines, if we can host some financial aid literacy sessions as well, please let us know. We love any chance to educate students on different types of financial aid and the financial aid process.

Here’s to another great month and cooler weather! If we can assist you or your students in any way, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

With Bulldog pride,
Lacey Weese
Vice President for Enrollment Management

TWU Major of the Month: Creative Writing

At Tennessee Wesleyan, the BFA in Creative Writing gives students the chance to explore fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and more while developing their unique voice. Students don't just write—they publish! Creative Writing students help bring TWU’s literary and art magazine, Springs of Helicon, to life, gaining real-world experience in writing, editing, publishing, and design. With guidance from the English department, Springs of Helicon is almost entirely student ran, offering real world experience in leadership and organization.  TWU gives creative writers the space to create, grow, and be proud of their product!

TWU PLEDGE

The TWU Pledge is a last-dollar tuition scholarship that will allow Hope Scholarship-eligible new freshmen students with a family adjusted gross income of $50,000 or less to attend Tennessee Wesleyan University TUITION-FREE for the Fall 2027 academic year. Students just need to submit a FREE application to TWU and put TWU as a school on their FAFSA. If eligible, TWU Pledge will automatically be added to their Financial Aid Award letter.
