Diversity
Step out of your comfort zone to meet someone new and different from you this semester. Learning about another person’s background and life experience helps us understand the differences that make us unique and the similarities that unite us. Explain, “I would like to learn about you if you would like to learn about me.”

Why you should consider getting a flu shot:
- The CDC recommends that everyone six months of age and older should get a yearly flu shot.
- Getting a flu shot will not only protect you, but also the people around you, against the flu.
- A flu shot will make your illness milder if you do get sick.
- The flu vaccination can reduce flu illnesses, doctors’ visits, and missed work and school due to flu, as well as prevent flu-related hospitalizations.
Flu Shot Clinic information:
- Tuesday, October 17, 5:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. at IUP Health Services, Room G-65 (901 Maple Street)
- Wednesday, October 18, 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. at IUP Health Services, Room G-65 (901 Maple Street)
- Print and complete the attached Administration Form prior to clinic. Bring the form with you to the clinic to help speed up the process; however, if you are unable to do so, forms will be available at the clinic. You will receive the form via email on Sunday evening.
- Use the IUP Flu Clinic scheduling tool to sign up for a date and time that works best for you.
- Bring a copy of your insurance card attached to the Administration form with you for proper billing.
- Bring your Giant Eagle Advantage Card in order to receive the $5 grocery shopping trip reward.
If you do not have health insurance, the flu vaccine will be available to students at no charge during both clinics.
