Accessible Documents on the Website
Document Audit Update
The UCM web team is currently doing the 2026 audit of documents linked to on the ohio.edu Drupal website. You may have already been contacted by us, or you may be in the near future with department specific deadlines. We need all decisions for action on documents before the April 24 deadline from the Department of Justice. What this means is we simply need a plan for what needs done with the documents (keep/remediate, transition into webpages, transition into digital form, delete). We will continue to work with units to move forward on the actual updates after the April deadline.
Documents Behind SSO
In this last round of document updates, the UCM web team has received questions about whether this ruling applies to documents behind SSO. The short answer is: yes, even documents behind SSO need to be accessible. If a document is linked to from the Drupal website, it needs to be accessible. (We recognize there are select units/documents that have received exemptions – you already know who you are.)
