Happy Halloween!

 
  • Professional MBA students are invited to the  4th Annual Net Gala scheduled for Friday, November 8th; if you are a part-time or online MBA,  please register to attend this signature event!  
  • The GPO is sponsoring a Fall Wellness Day on Tuesday, October 22nd.  Learn more,  and plan to attend.  Students are encouraged to bring canned and boxed goods to the local Foodbank drive during the Wellness Day event.  Students contributing to the collection will be entered into a raffle!
  • In collaboration with campus partners, the Bauer Leaders Academy is organizing Leadership Week: a celebration of leadership development at WashU.  Festivities begin on October 23rd, and registration ends on October 18th.  Learn more and get involved.
  • She Leads Symposium is Friday, October 25th!  Learn more and register online to attend.
  • Presented by the CEL: Join the founder of the nationally acclaimed Clementine’s Creamery and savor their fantastic ice cream as we explore the transformative impact of experiential learning on students, businesses, and the community. Registration is mandatory.
  • On October 25th, the women's and men's soccer teams will face off against Carnegie Mellon in a doubleheader. You will want to attend these games.   Cross-Cultural Connections will have a table at the 3:00 pm game to support our women's team and the 6:00 pm game to support our men's team.
  • MBA students can register for the inaugural Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, October 26th.  Full-time MBA students can register to play OR attend lunch and watch the frolics!  
  • WashU’s Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention (RSVP) Center seeks Graduate and Professional Students! They need your input. Apply to serve on the Graduate Board Student Advisor at the RSVP Center!  Learn more online and apply.
  • SMP students can register to participate in Intermediate and Advanced Excel Workshops on Friday, November 15th, and the 22nd.  Learn more and sign up today.
  • Save the date or register for the Public Speaking Lunch n’ Learn with the Writing Center on Wednesday, October 30th at 11:30 am.  Register today; lunch is provided!
  • There is still time for MBA students and professional MBAs to register for the Advanced Excel Workshop on Friday, November 1st.   Learn more and sign up!
  • Elections are just a few weeks away!  Engage Democracy 2024, sponsored by the Gephardt Institute, provides resources, polling places, and much more.  Learn more online and get out and vote!

Zymology, President Nathan Wild

 

What is Zymology?  Zymology is an applied science that studies the biochemical process of fermentation and its practical uses.  In the spring of 2024, Olin Bear and Mead Society merged with Olin Wine Club.  Students, yes, enjoy a variety of social outings, including a robust selection of beverages, but the club also incorporates the study of supply chain, consulting, creation, and broader social impact of diverse brewers and wine distributors.

  • The Graduate Center will sponsor STL 101 Walking Tour: Gay Liberation in the Gateway City on October 19th.
  • Spectrum supports LGBTQIA+ students through campus-wide programming, workshops, and community collaboration.  Learn more about Spectrum.
  • Are you interested in learning more about your student healthcare services?  The Graduate Center will host a reorientation session with Habif Medical Services on October 21st.  Register to attend.
