February is Black History Month
|

Black Student-Athlete Panel- join Cross-Cultural Connections on Thursday, February 20th at 7:00 pm in the Team Meeting Room in the Athletic Complex as we support a panel featuring a few of WashU Athletics’ Black student-athletes and then on Friday, February 21st, to cheer on WashU Men’s (5:30 pm) and Women’s (7:30 pm) basketball teams in celebration of Black History Month.
- The Kemper Art Museum is curating an exhibit featuring Black artists. A guided tour of the exhibit will be on Friday, February 28th from 12:00-1:00 pm. Connect with the CDI on Instagram @WashUCDI.

- The FTMBA Financial Series begins on Tuesday, February 18th. This two-part lunchtime session prepares our MBA students as they navigate benefit packages during the hiring process. MBA students must register by Friday, February 14th to attend.

Save the date! The Writing Center Presents: A Lunch n' Learn for Report Writing on Thursday, March 20th. Report writing remains a key method of communication in business environments. Whether it is proposing a new project, documenting progress, or assessing results, reports can play a significant role in the decision-making and evaluation process. This workshop will focus on some of the common elements of effective reports, as well as approaches for writing them. Sign up today!
- Save the Date! Mindfulness is simple, but not easy! Jodi Seals will facilitate a four-part Mindfulness Workshop in spring starting on Monday, March 17th. Students can register to attend one or all four of the lunchtime sessions.

Tanya pictured above in Singapore, spring 2024, admiring the artistic walls of Arab Street, Kampong Glam. It was in Singapore that I discovered the many talents of Tanya. Her adoration for art, both in words and visual interpretations, lends a distinct and unique quality to her work in the classroom and beyond. Tanya looks at life as an open canvas, choosing to capture the beauty of her surroundings and the sometimes chaos of consulting into one uniform, carefully crafted, and beautiful interpretation. Andrew Stenger is original, authentic, and unique. While finalizing his education to work as an engineer, Andrew's interests and pursuits took a huge pivot, and much to the chagrin of his parents, he mapped a career in the arts. Today, Andrew works as both an artisan and a champion for other artists. Utilizing his appreciation for diplomacy and advocacy and his former life as an engineer, Andrew builds bridges where gaps exist. Learn more about Andrew, his endeavors, his pursuits, and his unpredictable path to Olin.

Meet the Officers of the New Art & Leisure
Reid Marshall & Matthew Rush, MBA 2026
Reid and Matthew share a love of good jazz on vinyl. It was during a Friday night listening party that they plotted a course to share their love of the "finer" things with their classmates and peers.
Beginning in the spring, Olin Art & Leisure will kick off a fresh lineup of activities celebrating the finer things in life. Expect one to two events each month, ranging from theatre and symphony outings to jazz nights, wine tastings, cocktail classes, gallery visits, and more! Keep an eye on your inbox for info about our inaugural kickoff meeting in the next few weeks. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to reach out to Reid Marshall or Matthew Rush. Or, complete an interest survey and join the club!

50 student teams registered, with 10 advancing to the finals. Olin will host students from Emory, Arizona State, Kansas State, Babson, American University, and TCU!
