The fall semester is underway, and our campus is once again full of activity. Following our first Neighborhood News earlier this month, we’re back with a few timely updates, reminders and resources for our TCU neighbors. Please share with your respective neighbors and neighborhood associations.

Emergency Alert System Test
On Tuesday, Sept. 1, TCU will test its emergency mass notification system to ensure it is functioning as intended. The TCU Alert system includes phone, text and email notifications, as well as indoor and outdoor loudspeakers and emergency lighting on campus.
What neighbors should know:

- The test is expected to last approximately two minutes.
- Nearby neighbors may hear outdoor emergency loudspeakers during the test.

This is a routine test of TCU’s emergency notification system.

Neighbor to Neighbor
TCU students are back in class, and Neighbor to Neighbor, a partnership between TCU and the City of Fort Worth, helps students understand their responsibilities as Fort Worth residents and supports positive relationships between students and their off-campus neighbors.
What neighbors should know:

- Students receive information about being a good neighbor, including parking regulations, noise ordinances and trash and recycling.
- The program provides resources to help students and neighbors live safely and comfortably in the community.

TCU and the City of Fort Worth work together through the program to share information and address neighborhood concerns.

East Campus Parking Garage Takes Shape
|
Construction continues on TCU’s new 950-space parking garage, TCU Police Department and Emergency Operations Center. The new facility is expected to open in February 2027.

| Special Performance Honors the Life of 9/11 Chaplain
|
TCU neighbors are invited to a performance of Stations of Mychal, commemorating the life and legacy of FDNY Chaplain Fr. Mychal Judge, known as “The Saint of 9/11.”
