Help us create a culture of preventing sexual violence on our campus by being a part of It’s on Us week. This week-long event, held in the University Center concourse, provides awareness and prevention education. As part of the programming, UHCS Interpersonal Violence Prevention will host a special presentation by Michael Domitrz at 5 p.m. in Summers Auditorium on Thursday, April 25. Domitrz, an alum who was the 2023 May commencement speaker, will speak about consent, respect in relationships, and bystander intervention.

Rachel Nelson selected Division III Bowler of the Year

Rachel Nelson, a social work major from Poplar Grove, Illinois, was named NCAA Division III Bowler of the Year by the National Tenpin Coaches Association for the 2023-24 season. Nelson is the fifth Warhawk to earn the national award.

Women’s tennis to host WIAC AQ Tournament
|
The UW-Whitewater women’s tennis team will host the four-team Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Team Tournament this Saturday, April 27, starting at noon at the Warhawk Outdoor Tennis Complex. The winner of the tournament will earn the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship. The Warhawks seek their 16th straight appearance in the national tournament.

| Sole Survivor on April 24
|
To mark Sexual Assault Awareness Month, University Health and Counseling Services is collecting old shoes through April 22 for a Sole Survivor display outside of the Ambrose Health Center on April 24. The display is intended to show that sexual assault occurs across the board — among all communities on campus and around the world. If you have any old or unused shoes, consider donating them to UHCS for this display. They will be donated to the Community Space, a local source of free clothing, furniture, houseware items and more to the community, after the exhibit is over.
