5 Things to Know This Week at LOYNO
October 12, 2026

Happy Monday, Wolf Pack!

Here are your 5 Things to Know for this week!

1. Ethics in Action

Join us for Omicron Delta Kappa's Ethics in Action on Thursday, October 15, at 5:30 pm, in the St. Charles Room, for an interactive leadership workshop designed specifically for student leaders on campus. Work through real-life campus dilemmas, navigate tough decisions, and explore how ethics can guide you when leading your organization or team. Build the confidence and skills to make thoughtful decisions, even when the answer isn’t easy. Food will be provided. Click here to register. For questions or accommodations, please email getinvolved@loyno.edu.

2. ResChella Performer Registration

ResChella is back, and ResLife is looking for student vendors and organizations to table this year! We are also looking for performers of any genre to play the festival. ResChella will take place November 6th, from 3 - 7 pm. If you are available and interested in either tabling or performing, please fill out the vendor or the performer form. For questions or more information, please contact Nora Maus.

3. Wolves on the Prowl

For more than 20 years, the Loyola University New Orleans Alumni Association has proudly organized Wolves on the Prowl, our annual community service campaign. There are two opportunities to volunteer with the New Orleans Alumni Chapter on Saturday, October 24th! From 12 - 2 pm, in Monroe 610, you can make sustainable Mardi Gras throws with Ground Krewe on campus supporting waste prevention, recycling, and sustainability. You can also volunteer to provide compassionate care at The Harry Tompson Center, from 12 - 2 pm. Spots are limited, sign up today. For questions or accommodations, contact Melissa Landry.

4. Side Hustle Expo 6.0

Side Hustle Expo returns Tuesday, November 17th, from 12 - 2 pm, in the St. Charles Room. Student entrepreneurs from every college and major are invited to claim a spot. Part pop-up market, part science fair, the Expo gives you a free tri-fold display board, coaching on telling your story, an optional pre-Expo photo shoot, feedback from alumni and community leaders, and a chance at $2,500 in scholarships. Sign up by 4 pm, Friday, October 30th, then invite your friends to shop and vote for the People's Choice Award on Expo day. More information can be found here. For questions or accommodations, contact Megan Ihnen, Program Director, Center for Entrepreneurship and Community Development.

5. SGA Virtual Suggestion Box

Have an idea for improving the Loyola student experience? SGA wants to hear from you! The SGA Virtual Suggestion Box is a quick way to share your ideas, concerns, and feedback about campus services, events and programs, policies, and more. Is there something we could improve, or want to see something new on campus? Click here to share your feedback! You can submit anonymously or include your contact information if you’d like someone from SGA to follow up. For questions or accommodations, contact the Student Government Association.
