Welcome to Spring 2023! The CFE is here to help you navigate this semester’s opportunities and challenges. Sometimes a brief break to talk with colleagues, share ideas, and support each other—even for a few minutes--can help us rejuvenate.
Faculty Development: You are invited to apply to join the 2023-2025 Faculty Associates cohort! The call is linked later in this newsletter. This year we invite those who would like to share their expertise in leadership and research/scholarship to apply, as well as those who are interested in the scholarship of teaching & learning, assessment, and eLearning. It is a chance to join a group of scholars interested in a variety of aspects of the faculty role, share your expertise, and have a little fun! See below for details.

March 3 is the deadline for assessment reports for academic year 2021-2022. The University’s goal is a 100% completion rate. The CFE is encouraging programs to streamline the number of learning outcomes submitted to report student achievement for the 2021-22 academic year. Programs under specialized accreditation should continue assessment work that fulfills expectations of their accrediting bodies. If you need an individual refresher or have questions, please contact Sarah Oliver.

eLearning: Spotlight & Resources |
| eLearning Staff Spotlight: Rachel Rentschler, MPH, Exam Developer
I’ve been an Exam Developer with the CFE for the last five years. Though I’ve worked with several areas, most of that time has been spent supporting the School of Dentistry. I love building relationships and empowering faculty to discover the benefits of new educational technologies. Before my time at Creighton, I spent thirteen years at Nebraska Medicine. I hold a master’s in public health and was a Clinic Manager for North Omaha’s Fontenelle and Girls Inc. clinics. I volunteer regularly with Planned Parenthood and am a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Outside of work I enjoy reading, gardening, and taking long walks with my husky, Artie.
