Friends of the University Library Book Bin open Sep. 3-4
The Friends of the University Library Book Bin, located in the lower level of the University Library, will be open for used book sales from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, Sep. 3, and Thursday, Sep. 4. Students are invited to browse the Book Bin’s interesting and extensive inventory. Gently used hardback and trade paperback books are $2 each or three for $5. There is also a collection of artwork, music scores, audio recordings, long-playing records, CDs, DVDs and a large selection of children’s books. Cash or check only. All proceeds directly support the University Library.

Free screening: A Right to Exist - Women, Homelessness & Survival
Join the School of Social Work for a free screening of A Right to Exist: Inside Camp Resolution and the Housing Crisis on Wednesday, Sept. 10, from 6-8 p.m. in the University Union Hinde Auditorium. The 90-minute documentary explores Sacramento’s homeless crisis through the story of Camp Resolution, a self-governed, women-led encampment. A panel with Camp Resolution residents will follow. Head over to the California Academy of Sciences with us for their Nitelife celebration, which also happens to be Claude, the academy's albino alligator's 30th birthday! Free tickets, transportation, light snacks and parking are included! Enjoy music, exhibits, a planetarium show, and more! As drinks will be served, this is a 21+ only event.
